Jenny Uglow
The name 'Daisy Day' came about one cold late autumn morning, whilst sitting out in my parent's garden sipping a hot mug of black coffee. Even with the cold winter air moving through, the array of yellows, whites and purple-pink daisies stretched their petals wide and bloomed bright, unfazed. It brought a smile to my face and a thought settled deep inside me; let's all have a daisy day!
Daisy Day Gardening emerged not just due to the demand for gardening supports for those in need, but also from the desire of gardeners who truly care about and are interested in gardening, community development, and enhancing human health and well-being.
As a conscious business with more than 10 years of experience in community work, a passion for gardening, qualifications in health sciences and environmental studies, and a deep commitment to inclusivity and the connection between nature and people, Daisy Day Gardening offers a holistic gardening experience.
"Inspiring green spaces for health."
Daisy Day Gardening is committed to cultivating a reliable and sustainable enterprise that contributes to the community, fosters health and wellbeing, and bridges the divide to facilitate connections between people, nature, and their community.
To realise this vision, we intend to:
- Hire community members to serve their local area.
- Contribute positively to environmental and/or health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Host yearly tree-planting events to encourage community participation.
Daisy Day Gardening is presently a sole proprietorship, led by one woman with the substantial backing of seasoned and informed experts dedicated to lawn care, gardening services, sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community growth.
